Temporarily out of stock

The Aegishjalmur is a protective amulet of Icelandic origin, also known as a spell of terror or fear. It is believed that such symbols were commonly worn by Viking warriors as a protective sign painted on the forehead before battle. From some Old Norse sagas it can be interpreted that drawn between the eyes, it was bestowed with the ability to make the wearer invincible and terrify their enemies.
It has been manufactured in Zaragoza (Spain) by Adisart Creaciones Artísticas. It is cast in zamak, with an antique brass bath and measures 4.5 cms in diameter. It has been crimped by us on a smooth leather cord, with a surgical steel clasp.
