Almirez is made with the Tinta de Toro grape variety, and has an intense cherry red color.
On the nose, it presents aromas of black liquorice fruit, such as plum, hints of anise, and fine wood toastiness.
On the palate, the liquorice character returns, with a powerful entry, sweet tannins, and a warm and very long finish.
It pairs well with red meats, stews, aged cheeses, and cured meats.
