The 2016 was a warmer year than usual in our vineyards in Valdeorras, especially during the months of January, July, and September. Additionally, it was also a humid year, especially in winter, at the beginning of spring, and throughout autumn.
The harvest was complicated, with some rainy days, but thanks to our dedication and meticulous work, removing the leaves and selecting the grapes, we can now offer you a magnificent 2016 As Caborcas. Intense and elegant, ripe and balanced. It is a spectacular wine in every way.
2.5 hectares of vineyard in continental Galicia, in the town of Santa Cruz. Granite soils, poor and shallow, located on endless terraces on the steep terrain that lies on the banks of the Bibei river.
Facing west and north, this ancient vineyard has a mix of traditional varieties: Mencía, Merenzao, Sousón, Godello, "Garnacha".
