Asturian Wine Oro de Ibias

The Albarín white grape is a peculiar and scarce grape that fortunately is native and grows very well in the western area of Asturias. It is a tremendously special grape that is characterized by a great freshness and a high aromatic intensity. It is characterized by a rapid maturation and the acquisition of alcoholic degrees without difficulty. The low pH of the grape together with its high acidity make its wines can be consumed with guarantee after several years

The landscape that characterizes these vineyards is steep and mountainous, and they are usually settled on steep slopes on the mountain slopes, which makes their cultivation and maintenance a bit complicated. This type of viticulture is referred to as "heroic viticulture."

The winery Viña Cuedo has a small production of Asturian white wine that can reach 10,000 liters of wine. So their wine is an exclusive white wine.

Always respecting the balance between the vineyard and the ecosystem, a natural wine is made where the hand of man does not interfere in the vineyard nor in the winery. We are always committed to a respectful treatment of the grapes, where the best grapes are selected and then left to ferment spontaneously

To be able to value the wines of Asturias much better, we must also take into account the difficulty of obtaining wine in the high mountain areas, where due to its steep vineyards a manual harvest is necessary.
