Campo di Sasso Biserno Occhione is a white wine made from 90% Vermentino grapes and 10% of other white varieties in the region of Tuscany (Italy) by the Tenuta di Biserno winery.

It is the first white wine of the estate. Rare and original, produced in very few bottles, it faithfully conveys its nuances of slenderness, lightness and decisiveness. These characteristics are also found in its name: a protected species of rare aquatic bird (Occhione) that nests in the dunes and sands of Marina di Bibbona.

The freshly harvested grapes are placed in BINS containers with dry ice to keep them at temperatures between 13° and 16°. Loaded on trolleys, they are immediately transported to the winery where they are sorted on a sorting belt and then placed in a press for pressing. The must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature.

Campo di Sasso Biserno Occhione Tasting Notes

In the glass it has a light straw yellow colour with green reflections.

The nose expresses a medium and pleasant aromatic intensity, notes of citrus fruits such as lemon and lime, white flowers and tropical fruits.

The palate is dry, with a sparkling acidity, a pleasantly consistent palate and good length. It is defined by a fresh and pleasantly citrus finish.
