Córcega (Francia)
500g pot
Brocciu pairs particularly well with figs, honey, walnuts, zucchini, or spinach, and it is used in many Corsican recipes: such as chard cannelloni, or the traditional Corsican dessert fiadone.
Brocciu is a Corsican cheese appellation in the Corsican language for a Corsican whey cheese, protected by an AOC since 1998 and an AOP since 2003.Of course, Brocciu is a staple on a cheese board: it is then cut like a round cheese, in thin slices. It is enjoyed lightly sprinkled with pepper or accompanied by fig jam.
