It is internationally known for being one of the ingredients of the Galician empanada, of this prized bivalve it enjoys the best positions in culinary contests. It is also served alone on the griddle in its shell. Although scallops are very similar to scallops, they are of a different species and smaller in size, a tasty shellfish that is surprising for its characteristic texture. The Real Conservera Española scallops have their origin in the Galician Rías. After being purified to remove the sand, they are dehydrated and the hepatopancreas is removed. Then they are canned by hand one by one. Perfect for the Aperitif.
