Château Rauzan-Ségla 2012: haute couture
This wine owes its remarkable power and exceptional aging potential largely to the Cabernet Sauvignon, which makes up a significant proportion. However, the roundness of the Merlot tempers the opulence of the Cabernet Sauvignon, adding a silky and pleasant texture. The Cabernet Franc, on the other hand, brings a unique depth and personality to this wine. Aging is mainly done in new oak barrels, giving the wine great class, straightness, and elegance. On the nose, the bouquet is precise and powerful, with notes of cherry and blackberry complemented by scents of roasted mocha and violet.
The whole is long, complete, and remarkably refined.
