Cocoa in Uganda was introduced during the British colonial era and has since grown to be an important source of income for thousands of smallholder farmers. The main growing area is the Semuliki Valley. A Forastero and Trinitario variety, this cocoa is lightly roasted and conched for 48 hours to bring out its personality and elegance. It surprises with its combination of tropical fruit and dried fruit flavors. Slightly astringent. Sweet on the palate
