We present the unique goat cheese of Collados Quesería

We present the unique cured goat cheese from Collados Quesería, handmade. Made with pasteurized milk from Grenadian goats, raised in the region of Huesca, at the foot of the Sierra de la Sagra, at an altitude of more than 1,700m. This is fundamental to obtain a unique milk of the best quality. It is extraordinary if you enjoy soft cheeses, but with an unmistakable and incomparable flavor. The process used is that of all life, pressing manually through a knotted cloth, which gives it its characteristic shape. Then it matures in the cellar for 3 to 5 months, to get the texture and flavor that will make you have a love cheese at first sight.

More information

A cheese made with pure goat's milk, is a local product (Granada) that guarantees the highest quality of its ingredients. The tradition in the process, forces it to be made by hand and the herds are always in absolute freedom. And since it is 100% natural, this guarantees that its texture and flavor are wonderfully delicious

The goats are happy and raised in freedom, and we find in both the milk and cheese, nuances of rosemary, thyme, lavender, rockrose and other shrub species of the Sierra Norte Granadina. How do you make your cheeses?

How do you make your cheeses?

They start with 100% Murcian goat's milk from Granada, wonderful goats that graze happily (essential for the flavors of their beloved cheeses). Then they curdle the milk and we transform it into a new product: cheese. At each step the raw material is always of the highest quality. They follow the traditional elaboration process, to which they have added the necessary technological advances so that the product is of the highest quality. One of the key moments of the process is the fermentation, here the magic happens.

The maturation of the cheese

The maturation of their cheeses ranges from 4 to 8 weeks, and is well worth the wait. From such a careful elaboration process and a raw material of this level, the final product is Excellent: pressed paste cheeses with tender rind and a point of creaminess. If we add to that the fact that the consumption of goat milk and its derivatives lowers cholesterol, favors the absorption of fats, proteins, calcium and minerals, we have more than enough reasons to cut another piece of this wonderful cheese. Because where there is cheese, there is happiness.

The goats of Quesería Collados, top quality

Cheese from Collados

Cheese from Collados

Because Collados Quesería cheese is handmade and comes from goats. And not from just any goats, from the envy of the goats, those that live in freedom in the Sierra de la Sagra, in the north of the province of Granada. This mountain range has always been home to goats. The fact that the goats graze happily on its slopes means that the milk they produce is of the highest quality. And this is the basis for the manufacture of their artisan cheese

They have goats of all kinds, the kind that pose for photos like real influencers, the kind that don't stop all day (up the hillside, down the hillside) or the kind that like to eat the gourmet pastures.
