85% Organic Dark Chocolate Mascao 80g Alternative 3
Description:
The delicious Fair Trade Mascao chocolates are obtained from a mixture of cocoa paste, sugar, cocoa butter, and other ingredients such as almonds, hazelnuts, etc. The cocoa, produced in El Ceibo, Bolivia, does not contain any flavorings or thickeners, and is organically grown, meaning it is cultivated without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The cocoa plant is a tree that can reach 10 meters. Its fruits are elongated and can weigh up to 1 kg. Once the outer shell is opened, a white pulp containing about 30 violet seeds is found. Once the dry seeds are heated, roasted, and crushed, an amalgam (cocoa paste) is obtained from which the fatty substance (cocoa butter) is then extracted, and the rest is made into cocoa powder. The sugar used is the Mascobado variety from Pitafa (Philippines) and/or Otisa (Paraguay).
