Edra Grenache Gris

Edra Garnacha Gris 2016,Garnacha variety practically disappeared. The vineyard located in the middle of the desert in lower Aragon, with rainfall of 100ml per year, is around 80-100 years old. The grape with a toasted yellowish skin colour, and totally grey must, when fermenting, coppery colours appear in the wine, giving aromas of sanguine, pomegranate and a certain tangerine. Fruits of sweet and fresh memories with a refreshing acidity that marida fantastically with pickles, salty and blue cheeses. Being a distant wine (in Lecera-Zaragoza) from the IGP Ribera del Gállego, where Edra bodega is located (in Ayerbe-Huesca-) the wine is labeled as a Varietal wine.

It is the local variety best adapted to the area, the climate, the sun, the soil. We have relearned and reinterpreted the cultivation and vinification of this variety, which has a compact cluster, in need of sun, and which reaches the ideal maturity at the beginning of September. We make it as a single varietal in order to highlight the typicality of the variety, soil and climate. And no vintage ceases to surprise us!
