Temporarily out of stock

Mediterranean rosé with the elegance and finesse conferred by the Monastrell. This Spanish variety was imported by the French (they call it Mouvedre) from Provence (mainly Bandol) to make one of the most recognized and prestigious rosé wines in the world. Pale orange in color, it is a fresh, spicy and aromatic wine with a smooth and elegant finish very enjoyable to drink on any occasion. Because of its great acidity and smoothness integration, it is also a gastronomic wine.

More information

The Monastrell variety comes from several plots of the Casa Los Frailes estate at an altitude of 650 meters. The soils are of alluvial origin, deep, silty-sandy with red and yellow limestone stones on the surface. These soils, being richer than the rest of the soils of the estate, harbor a large amount of spontaneous vegetation cover, serving as pasture for the sheep and attracting beneficial insects and songbirds The entire vineyard is goblet-trained and divided into different plots planted in 1987, 1988, 1991 and 1992, the average being about 25 years old Winemaking
All the grapes are harvested by hand, as all the Monastrell is in goblet. It is made by direct pressing with pneumatic press. Fermented at controlled temperature with occasional pumping over. At the end of fermentation it is aged on its fine lees, with periodic battonnage, in order to obtain a glyceric and unctuous rosé, without giving up the freshness of the Mediterranean Monastrell
