It is a paprika made to the exact measure of those more subtle palates, since this paprika will only leave a few notes of delicious smoked flavor in the most recurrent stews and dishes, which is the main difference with respect to our traditional Caballo de Oros de la Vera paprika, which has a more powerful flavor and aroma that flood the recipes in which this product is traditionally used, as well as sausages and meat preparations that carry it

You can find this new concept of smoked paprika in the three traditional flavors of paprika de la Vera: sweet, bittersweet and spicy. In case this is the first time you hear about it and you are not familiar with these concepts we explain it below:

1. Sweet Flavor: it has a degree of spiciness of 0, it does not sting at all. The sweet flavor paprika is the most consumed in most of the Iberian Peninsula.

Sweet and sour taste: it has a subtle hint of spiciness that on a scale of 1 to 10, being 0 the sweet taste and 10 the spicy taste; the sweet and sour taste would be at a 3 at most, so we must avoid the traditional error in which most users fall into believing that the sweet and sour taste has a degree of spiciness between sweet and spicy. Bittersweet is closer to sweet than to hot. It is the most consumed paprika flavor in the region of La Vera and in the northern part of Extremadura as well as in Castilla y León
6. Spicy Flavor: it is a flavor exclusively designed for spicy lovers. On the well-known Scoville scale used to measure the degree of spiciness of foods, El Galgo mild smoked paprika can oscillate between 7,000 and 8,000 Scoville units (lower than our spicy paprika de la Vera: 12,000 and our chilli peppers 18,000).
