El Gordo del Circo is born from old vineyards in the Pagos de Cuesta Redonda, Campo Viejo and La Vercera, located in Olmedo, in the province of Valladolid, where Verdejo expresses all its character.

The vintage has been described as excellent. The weather conditions that year, with abundant rainfall and high temperatures in August, favoured optimum ripening of the grapes, which were in perfect sanitary condition. The grapes, of high quality, showed an excellent balance between alcohol content and acidity, with no problems of fungus or humidity. This wine is made with 100% Verdejo grapes from organic vineyards of approximately 30 years old, located in Olmedo, Valdestillas and Segovia.
The grapes, harvested by hand and on trellises, alternate between mechanised and manual harvesting in gravelly, sandy soils. The grapes are macerated at low temperature for 24 hours, and only the free-run juice is fermented at low temperature to extract a large amount of aromatic compounds. The wine is aged on fine lees for 5 months, which gives it great roundness and structure on the palate.
Appearance: Straw yellow colour with greenish hues, bright and clean.
Nose: The nose is elegant and intense, with herbaceous notes, white and stone fruit, as well as a spicy and citric touch.
Palate: In the mouth it is full-bodied and sweet, the result of its ageing on lees, with a freshness that gives it balance and length. It is a structured and rounded wine, ideal to enjoy on its own or with light dishes.
