Figuero Red Wine 12

Tinto Figuero 12 Months is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero. With 12 Months is a single varietal Tempranillo. The grapes come from old vineyards, 80% of these are from vines between 20 and 40 years old and 20% are from vines of about 50 years.
The development of Tinto Figuero 12 Months begins with a manual harvest in baskets of 12kg.
Once in the winery is made a vatting tank by gravity. Subsequently, a 2-day cold skin maceration at 12ºC is carried out and left to ferment spontaneously with 2 daily pump-overs and at the end of fermentation a "délestage", a technique used to extract more color from the grapes.

Finally it is aged for 12 months in American oak barrels (85%) and French oak (15%).
Before bottling it is clarified with egg white and once in the bottle it undergoes a final aging that completes the 2 years since its harvest.
