Selección Finca Monte Alto comes from the Monte Alto estate , one of Fillaboa's most emblematic plots at an elevation of about 150 meters above sea level with 6.7 hectares , of which only about 10,000 bottles are produced , depending on the vintage. The vineyard is 28 years old, trellised and the soil has a sandy loam texture , with an abundance of pebbles due to its proximity to the Miño river.how is the winemaking process? this wine is made in the traditional way with alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature, 14ºC at the beginning and 16ºC at the end. Selected indigenous yeasts are used and the wine is kept on the fine lees for 12 months instainless steel tanks. After that time the wine is cold stabilized, filtered through diatomaceous earth andbottled. Fillaboa Selección Finca Monte Alto is a great Albariño wine with enormous aging potential. It is aromatic, frank and fresh, structured and complex.
