The origin of the company dates back to 1990 when Don Jesús Lorenzo founded the cannery. In 1993, the Lorenzo Paz family founded the current JELOPA S.L., owner of the brand LOS PEPERETES.
Their aim was ambitious: to produce the best preserves with the most exquisite products from the Galician Rias; to introduce an exclusive, high quality and limited artisan production brand in the market. As for the potential clientele, those whose palate is accustomed to the best flavours stand out, without excluding those who want to discover for the first time the culinary treasures of the Ría de Arousa

The selection and manufacture of seafood is the fundamental basis of our process, and it is also the simple formula to achieve our goal: to offer our customers the best canned seafood in Galicia.
The quality of our products is our main mission. For this, our production activity begins with a careful SELECTION, where only the best fish and seafood from our Rías Baixas have a place. This is followed by TREATMENT, a vitally important aspect, which is carried out in a meticulous and artisan way thanks to the relatively small production volume.
Finally, in order to certify that the result of the process is the best, a strict and detailed QUALITY CONTROL is carried out, both of the raw materials and of the manufacturing process. Within this process we pay special attention to the control of incubation, closing and sterilization of the packaging, leaving a record in the files of the company.
