GlycoDeX PURE is a food supplement recommended for athletes participating in intense and prolonged physical activities.
Cluster Dextrin® is produced from amylopectin using a cyclation reaction with a branched enzyme. The result is a glucose polymer with ideal properties such as: very low osmolality around 150 mOsm with a relatively high molecular weight, meaning that the HBCD solution will spend less time in the stomach compared to traditional carbohydrates and therefore reduce discomfort when ingested during exercise.
Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function after very intense and/or prolonged physical exercise, which leads to muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen reserves in the muscle.
The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming carbohydrates from various sources, with a total intake of 4g per kg of body weight, in several doses, within the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours after intense and/or prolonged physical exercise in order to avoid muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen levels in the muscle.
This new class of carbohydrate-based supplements, defined as "design glucose polymers" or highly branched cyclodextrins (HBCD), is the next evolutionary step for various carbohydrate-based products on the market.
