Originating from Le Puy-en-Velay, the green lentil is renowned for its incomparable taste, and is known to be rich in protein. Our green lentils (PDO) simmered for a long time with carrots and cooked juice. You can enjoy them with our duck confit from the Gers, with grilled meats or with other meats like pork or fish. Green PUY lentils also go very well with white or brown rice.
The green PUY lentil is a specialty of Puy-en-Velay. It has had a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) since 2008. Grown in Haute-Loire, it is just as much a delight to great chefs as to French people who love good products.
