Limited 100th Anniversary Edition.
Hakushu 12 YO Peated Single Malt is composed of carefully selected malt whiskies, all aged for at least 12 years in various casks, in commemoration of the centenary of the House of Suntory. Deep in the depths of Mount Kaikomagatake, Keizo Saji, master blender and second generation descendant of the blenders, established the Hakushu distillery.
The blenders accepted the challenge of working with peat, facilitated by the distillery environment. The smoothness of the flavour was achieved by using exceptionally pure mountain water, filtered through ancient granite rocks. The result is a fresh and gently smoky malt whisky, a revelation among Japanese single malts.
This limited edition bottling pays tribute with a unique design to the House of Suntory, bringing Monozukuri craftsmanship to life and cementing it as an integral part of Japanese culture. The same constant pursuit of quality, ingenuity and expressiveness has been the inspiration behind this limited edition design.
The illustration on the bottle depicts the Hakushu distillery in soft green tones, symbolising the surrounding forest. It captures Shinjiro Torii's dream of creating a whisky steeped in the riches of nature and Japanese craftsmanship, a vision that endures to this day. The subtle play of light and shadow symbolises the sun, representing the future shining in a corner of our world.

Colour: The whisky has an attractive golden champagne hue, evoking elegance and sophistication from the first glance.
Nose: As the glass approaches, delicate notes of basil unfold, intertwining with the freshness of pine needle and the vibrancy of green apple. An intriguing combination that invites further exploration.
Palate: On the first sip, a harmonious dance of sweet pear-like flavours is revealed, bringing an initial softness, followed by the freshness of mint that awakens the senses.
