Practically all the great restaurants in France have its wines; it also belongs to the select group of 12 family winemaking companies from the main wine producing regions in the world that make up the exclusive association PRIMUM FAMILIAE VINI.Alsace is the driest wine region in France, far from the marine influence and protected by the Vosges, with a privileged microclimate for growing Riesling grapes that favors the ripening of the grapes, giving the wine unparalleled aromas and intensity.Hugel Alsace Riesling Estate is born from the selection of vines from some of the best plots within the Hugel & Fils family estate in Riquewihr, Alsace, where marl soils predominate, a type of sedimentary rock composed of calcites and clays that give the wines minerality, delicacy and high aging capacity.For the production of Hugel Alsace Riesling Estate, the grapes are selected and harvested by hand and transported to the presses, which are filled by gravity, without any mechanical intervention. After pressing, the must is decanted and then fermented in vats at controlled temperatures. The wine is naturally clarified in winter and lightly filtered in spring before bottling. The bottles age in the cellar until released for sale.Hugel Alsace Riesling Estate is a gastronomic wine with ample aging potential that could rest for five to eight more years in bottle before uncorking.
