This is a small production of a wine made exclusively from a native but unusual variety.

Bodegas Izadi

Bodegas Izadi was founded in 1987 by Gonzalo Antón, who, together with a group of friends and businessmen from Vitoria, created an innovative project in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.

Villabuena de Álava, where part of the family was already linked to the world of viticulture, was the chosen village where an innovative winery focused on the production of quality wines was built. Gonzalo Antón's extensive knowledge of the hotel and catering industry led him to conceive a wine, Izadi, which soon became one of the most appreciated wines in the world of gastronomy. At the same time, the incorporation of new winemaking techniques and his eagerness to continually improve created a style of his own that consolidated over time.

In 2000, the incorporation of his son, Lalo Antón, into the company boosted sales abroad, as well as the expansion of the company, which, under the name of Artevino, tackled the projects of Finca Villacreces (D.O. Ribera del Duero), Bodegas Vetus (D.O. Toro) and Orben (D.O.Ca. Rioja).
