More information

The red wine 2012 of the Ribera Sacra is born of Mencía grape from three vineyards: of a vineyard of more 50 years, planted at 400 m. of altitude in schist soils and slates strongly meteorizadas and with great drainage capacity; of a vineyard of 60-90 years, planted at an altitude of between 300 and 450 m. on Slate soil; And a 50-80-year-old vineyard planted at more than 500 m.

NOTE: It is recommended to decant la Cima because it has been bottled without filtering, it can present solid residues.

Aging:La CIMA is aged by malolactic fermentation in casks. Aged on Lees for 20 months in French oak barrels and then bottled for 18 months.

La cima Tasting Note

The wine has a garnet-ruby color of medium intensity. In the nose it is fresh, with a great presence of Mediterranean herbs, ferric memories and a wide range of crisp and sharp fruits: currants, cherries, plums and a fresh souvenir of menthol and eucalyptus. In the mouth has an entrance that quickly occupies the whole mouth, with a tannin that seems almost nonexistent and that appears gradually at the end of the tongue and then disappears again. Meaty souvenirs, ripe red fruit, black pepper and licorice. Sapid, fresh, elegant and very precise.
