With its name, this barrel-aged white pays tribute to the almond trees that coexist with the vines in Terra Alta, a wine region in the interior of the province of Tarragona. It is made entirely from Garnacha blanca, the flagship variety of this small appellation, and displays a broad aromatic palette with citrus and floral notes, as well as ripe fruit and tender almond. Culture
It comes from the Mas Gabrielet Estate, where the vines planted on natural terraces are located in the "fous" (gorges) formed by the former flow of a river, now subway. They are located between 320 and 370 meters above sea level, on the Terra Alta slope facing west, with their backs to the sea, which favors sunshine and ventilation.
The winery has a total of 12.5 hectares of vineyards in total, with an average age of the vines of 40 years.
The soils at Mas Gabrielet are predominantly calcareous, with a clay and clay loam texture, although in some areas the "honeycomb" (fossil dune) can be distinguished and in others pebbles appear.
