Description

Bodegas Licinia was founded in 2005 by Víctor Algora. Located in Morata de Tajuña, 40 km southeast of Madrid, the winery has 28 hectares of organic vineyards. Victor, who comes from a family with a long winemaking tradition, knew very early on that he wanted to make Bodegas Licinia a benchmark in the world of wine in Madrid and Spain. Since its first vintage in 2009, Licinia has been a constant success. At Enoforum 2009, the most important blind tasting in Spain reserved only for winemakers, it was voted best red wine in Spain. A year later, Licinia was the winner at Nariz de Oro 2010, the most objective and prestigious blind tasting of Spanish wines reserved exclusively for sommeliers. In Switzerland in 2020, Licinia was voted best red wine of Spain by a professional jury during a blind tasting organised by a major national newspaper
