The Grand Cru vineyard of Bâtard-Montrachet is located between the picturesque villages of Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, the site of production of the world's greatest white wines.This 11.86 hectare vineyard is separated from the greater Montrachet by a narrow strip of land. This hill, facing east, is composed of gravelly soil on a clay base, world renowned for the production of high quality Chardonnay.
