The organic coconut flower sugar is obtained from the flowers of the coconut palms. Compared to commercial industrial sugar, it provides a natural sweetness with a special aroma of exotic caramel for your drinks, desserts, and baked goods.
Additionally, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, coconut sugar derived from cactus nectar is considered the most sustainable sugar of all time, as it is obtained in a resource-saving manner.
Unrefined products also contain numerous nutrients, especially minerals. Unlike most other sugars, organic coconut flower sugar is currently only produced traditionally and by hand.
Production of coconut flower sugar:
Coconut flower sugar is made from approximately 1 - 1.70 m long coconut flowers. The process requires a lot of labor: coconut sugar harvesters climb the coconut palms and often cut the flowers at dizzying heights, so that a few liters of coconut juice are filtered. This coconut juice is then boiled down to coconut sugar blocks and brown sugar. The brown sugar is hand-dried on a small scale to obtain fine sugar.
Sweetness:
The sweetening power is comparable to that of regular household sugar.
Valuable ingredients:
Compared to cane sugar and beet sugar, organic coconut flower sugar contains many times more minerals and antioxidants. It is rich in vitamins such as B1 and C, and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. Coconut sugar also contains fewer calories than cane sugar. Unrefined, it contains the minerals and trace elements originally found in the juice, as well as most heat-stable vitamins. The sugars it contains are sucrose (70-79%), glucose (3-9%), and fructose (3-9%).
Using coconut flower sugar:
Caramel and its very subtle flavor go well with tea, coffee, or desserts like homemade vegan chocolate. Coconut sugar melts in the true sense of the tongue. We are also delighted that coconut flower sugar comes from small farmers' cooperatives. For example, it comes from Indonesia and helps provide local people with bread and a livelihood.

Natural sweetness - an alternative to regular household sugar
Not only figure-conscious alternative sweeteners are sought. Coconut flower sugar is a wonderful sweetener with subtle notes of caramel and vanilla. In many Asian countries, it has been traditionally used in cooking for centuries. In Europe, it is almost unknown, but slowly conquers the curious gourmet cuisine. But not only that speaks for the exotic sugar. Coconut flower sugar also scores in terms of sustainability. Cultivated palms require relatively little water, and compared to raw cane sugar, the yield per hectare is almost double. An effective contribution to nature conservation and the conservation of valuable resources!
