Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Mergaoliva 700 ml

It comes from Picual variety olives. The olive grove is cultivated in a traditional and organic way. The olives from which this EVOO is obtained were in their early ripening stage (purple color) during the harvest. This monovarietal Picual is well-structured, harmonious, and persistent. This oil has been awarded as the best among the organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils in the province of Jaén in the Jaén Selección 2021 competition, organized by the Diputación de Jaén. On the nose, it presents an intense aroma of green olives, full of vitality and freshness. The aromas of green leaves, wood, and almond stand out, along with notes of vegetables such as green tomato and artichoke, and fresh fruits such as banana peel and apple, giving it great aromatic complexity. On the palate, it is powerful and consistent with the olfactory impressions, with a medium bitterness and a slightly more intense spiciness, ending with a clean touch of nuts.
