The Pintia red wine is one of the great wines of the D.O. Toro produced by Bodegas Pintia, belonging to the famous Vega Sicilia Group.
Pintia is a single varietal red wine made from Tinta de Toro, the queen variety in Toro, an example of quality applied to all the winemaking processes, which results in an excellent wine, very elegant and with very fine tannins.
Pintia is located near the Duero River, within the Toro Denomination of Origin. The extreme climatic conditions, with very cold winters and hot summers, have an impact on the complex soils of the area, which are characterised by their abundance of pebbles.
Due to all these conditions, it is of vital importance to find the optimal harvest time in order not to lose neither the freshness of the aromas nor the acidity of the wine.
Tasting notes of Pintia
This Pintia may be the most vertical and fruity Pintia so far, but at the same time it shows great structure. The wine exhibits an extremely silky texture, which allows it to be enjoyed right away, but it also has a surprising length in terms of its ageing potential.
