Orange juice oranges are usually smaller in size than table oranges, have thin skin (therefore more difficult to peel), and seeds inside. On the other hand, when buying juice oranges, you receive oranges with a slightly less shiny appearance. Juice oranges have a somewhat yellowish color, and it is not uncommon to find some type of external imperfection as well.
Although there is no insurmountable barrier between buying table oranges and juice oranges, as juice can be extracted from both and of course whole pieces can be consumed, the ideal varieties for making juice belong to the group of white oranges. In this group we can find Salustiana or Valencia Late.
