Protos Reserva 2015, made with tempranillo and aged for 18 months in oak barrels and 24 more in bottle, is a powerful, toasted wine with a great structure and a very long finish. Essential.
Protos comes from Greek and means First, since the winery was inaugurated in 1927, being the pioneer in the Ribera del Duero. Currently, they control 1400 hectares, a true giant.
Protos Reserva 2015 is a wine with Designation of Origin Ribera del Duero, made 100% from Tempranillo grapes. The harvest of these grapes is done manually and in 20 kg boxes.
As for aging, Protos Reserva remains a minimum of 18 months in American and French oak barrels, and then rests in the bottle for a minimum of 24 months.
Protos Reserva is ideal to accompany poultry, meats, game dishes, hearty stews, rice dishes, pasta, and cold cuts.
It is recommended to consume this wine at a temperature between 16-17 °C.
