Ramon do Casar Varietal is a white wine made from Treixadura, Godello and Albariño in the D.O. Ribeiro by the Ramón Do Casar winery.
This wine is a Varietal from the prestigious wine region of Ribeiro, the oldest appellation in Galicia and one of the first in Spain to obtain the status of Denominación de Origen. Ribeiro is especially known for its white wines made from local grapes such as treixadura, godello, albariño, loureiro and lado.
The wine we present is a blend of treixadura, albariño and godello, which captures the true essence of Ribeiro in every bottle. It comes from the modern family estate Ramón do Casar and is considered as its letter of introduction. The grapes grow in their own vineyards located in Castrelo de Miño, in poor, granitic soils, which gives character and uniqueness to this wine.
Harvesting is done by hand and the grapes are processed separately according to their plot in the winery. After de-ageing and cold fermentation, the wine undergoes a short maturation together with the yeasts. Finally, the individual barrels are blended to achieve the desired result before bottling.
Captivating aroma of stone fruit and honey. In the mouth, it reveals a ripe, full and smooth taste, but at the same time refreshingly fresh. It is a wine with a strong character and an authentic expression of Spanish speciality. Undoubtedly, a true wine jewel from the Ribeiro region.
