Herpac was founded in 1986, by the Pacheco brothers. After many years working in their small fish shop in Barbate, and thanks to the good reputation gained, Francisco and Diego decided to start commercializing mojama, drying it artisanally with no other elements than the sun and the wind, in their establishment on Hermanos Romero Abreu street. Today they have central facilities of 8,500 square meters, three own stores, half a hundred employees, and are present in 10 countries.
It has never stopped being a family business, and now it is the third generation that is starting to lead the company. Herpac is a leader in the canning industry, and its tuna mojama is one of the most recognized in the world, being one of the few chosen to bear the distinguished Protected Geographical Indication seal "Mojama de Barbate".
Their nearly one hundred references, among which also stand out the red tuna canned products and artisanal smoked products, have received numerous national and international awards, and are found in the most important gourmet stores and spaces in the country.
