La Rioja Oriental, the driest, warmest, windiest, and most Mediterranean part of La Rioja, is the origin of Bodegas Palacios Remondo.
The rugged and high environment of Monte Yerga, where the first Cistercian monks arrived, is where the winery now recovers the traditional viticulture of garnacha as the protagonist and symbol of its own wine history.
Its vineyards practicing organic and natural agriculture are located in the heights of Yerga in the Iberian system, a wild environment from which the Ebro Valley dominates.
Geography, microclimates, and soils rich in calcium. History, culture, garnacha. All converge and explain the deep viticultural identity of Alfaro (La Rioja).
