The Pago de los Balagueses Syrah Red Wine with D.O.P Vinos de Pago belongs to the Vegalfaro winery.
Made entirely from Syrah grapes from the La Muela area, in the Pago de Los Balagueses. The vines are cultivated in espalier with an age of over 30 years in clay-limestone soil at an altitude of 750 m. An enclave of 3.5 hectares amidst pine forests, aromatic plants, and almond trees. Viticulture follows traditional practices, with organic certification and yields of less than 1.8kg per vine. The harvest took place during the first week of October at the optimal ripeness of the grapes.
For aging, the Pago de los Balagueses Syrah Red Wine has spent 10 months in French oak barrels, 70% new and 30% used, followed by a minimum of one year in the bottle.
