The Red Wine Tr3smano Vendimia from Bodegas Tr3smano - Lagar de Proventus, presents us with this red wine from the Ribera del Duero D.O., made from the grape varieties 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo).
The result of the fusion of three subzones from which the grapes are obtained after a meticulous selection of the vineyards and berries. Not every year is 100% of each vineyard harvested. There are moments when part of the harvest must be discarded to benefit the final quality of the resulting wine.
The grapes come from old vineyards between 35 and 80 years old, located in the areas of Olmedillo, Roa, La Horra, Moradillo, Pesquera, and Peñafiel. The soils are very poor in limestone mother rock, with clays in the Burgos area and gravels in the Peñafiel area.
Aging: 16 months in new French oak barrels.
Recommended serving temperature: 16ºC.
The name Tr3smano permanently refers to the initial number of dreamers who gave origin to this wine: three.
It also indicates the expression of old Castilian - "trasmano" or "desmano" - to identify what is not within reach but a little further back, outside the path; everything that is not easy to find and achieve, like making a good wine.
For Tr3smano - Lagar de Proventus, wine is made in the vineyard. Then, innovation and tradition come together to ensure that each bottle is a small work of art.
Tr3smano is nourished by large vineyards located in three of the best wine subzones of the Ribera del Duero located in the Milla de Oro, in Valladolid. Together they cover a total area of about 55 hectares of vineyard, all with very low production.
All vineyards are exclusively planted with Tempranillo or Tinta del País - Tinta fina, mostly cultivated in a goblet training system.
The work is done completely manually with the utmost care possible to respect the quality of the grapes.
The winery is surrounded by a 50-year-old vineyard: the Viña del Lagar. This, along with the Rábano vineyard, is cultivated on very poor sandy-loam soils.
