Vizar Wineries is located on a estate on the banks of the Duero River in the municipality of Villabañez (Valladolid), 22 kilometers from the capital. It has 90 hectares of land where the Winery and the entire vineyard are located.
The vineyards of the estate have witnessed various civilizations that inhabited Spain.
The estate was historically part of the now extinct town of Peñalba. The town emerged during the Reconquista on the southern bank of the Duero River, opposite to the Christian lands.
The estate has belonged to the Dukes of Alba, subsequently passing through various hands over the centuries, until currently belonging to the Zarzuela family.
The family, betting on the area and its rural surroundings, and believing in the potential of the estate and vineyards, brings to the wine market some quality wines.
