Sauerkraut is thinly sliced cabbage that is fermented and seasoned. A typical dish from Central Europe, which you can use to season a salad, on its own, hot by adding it to a stew, or as a side dish to another dish. Fermented cabbage has a large amount of non-toxic lactic acid. Gluten-free.

Drain the water from the jar and add the sauerkraut to a salad or, if preferred, add it to your favorite stew. It can be eaten directly from the jar or heated without reaching boiling point. Storage Once opened, store in the refrigerator.
