Why "Acero"?
The name Acero evokes the fact that this wine has never been in contact with oak. The grapes, specially selected for aromatic intensity, complete their primary and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel in order to retain the purity of flavours. The wine remains in the vat until bottling in late spring.

The Clones
The clone blend of the 2010 vintage of Acero is 55% See and 45% Rued.

The Vinification
The grapes were harvested from October 14 to 21. The bunches were pressed whole and fermented at 12º C, in stainless steel vats. After completing the primary fermentation, the wine underwent 100% malolactic fermentation in the same vat and was bottled in June 2011.

Tasting Notes
This vintage of the Acero continues in the vein of its predecessor, with intense fruit aromas reminiscent of Asian pear and fresh apple, flavoured with attractive floral notes. The palate is fresh and lively, with great balance and a long, dry finish. Easy to drink and perfect with food such as tapas, seafood and light dishes. I would recommend serving it between 7º and 8º C.
