Moncayo is one of the quality brands of Uruguayan-style yerba mate and is mainly composed of powder with very small and cut leaves, without stems (no stick). Its flavor is strong and bitter and its texture is almost creamy. It is among the three most consumed brands in the country. The compound version contains, beyond the yerba mate without stems, a high amount of herbs such as:
Linden: Sedative, lowers blood pressure.
Boldo: Digestive, beneficial in liver and gallbladder conditions.
Carnicera: Eliminates uric acid, hepatic decongestant.
Sedge: Tonic effect, antiparasitic
Chamomile: Antispasmodic and tonic
Sarandi Blanco: Hypoglycemic, beneficial for diabetes.
Arrayan: Stomach ailments, digestive. Stimulating tonic.
Peppermint: Promotes the flow of bile, stomach.
Cedron: Antispasmodic, tonic.
Bull's shadow: Indigestion, also dysentery against alcoholism.
How to use:
For 1 liter take approx. 12g of mate and let it steep at 80 degrees for about 5 minutes.
