White Wine Viñas del Vero Riesling
The White Wine Viñas del Vero Riesling is made with 100% grape Variety Riesling. It belongs to the D.O. Somontano.
It is elaborated in the "Los Olivos" vineyard, characterized by a deep, poorly fertile and well-drained soil with many coarse elements. With Holocene detritic origin, calcisols and fluvisols with limestone concentration, fluvial terraces and glaciers, it is located at an altitude of 405 meters above sea level with an east-west 10º orientation, avoiding direct sunstroke in clusters but good foliar exposure.
Given the proximity of the "Los Olivos" estate to the winery, the harvest, carried out manually, is constantly transported in small boxes, due to the delicacy of the skin of the Riesling berries. Immediately afterwards, the clusters are de-stemmed and the grapes are cooled to 8ºC for maceration of the must and skins for a few hours. The free-run juice is slowly drained by gravity and left to settle for 24 hours to cleanse naturally. Afterwards, the clean part is racked to the fermentation tank for 9 days. Once the wine is obtained, it remains in tank for 5 months on its own lees, before being filtered and bottled.
It has an alcohol content of 13%, a pH of 3.42, total acidity of 5.63 g/l and residual sugar of 2.7 g/l.
Serve this wine at a temperature between 8º and 10º.
