The Rento Red Wine Rento is a red wine that belongs to Bodegas Familiares Matarromera of Ribera del Duero origin. This wine is composed of 100% Tempranillo grapes.
The Hito Corto vineyards have been cared for with dedication and affection to be worthy of being part of the history of RENTO. It is the only Matarromera Group plot located on the south left bank of the Duero River (Quintanilla de Arriba), it is a very special vineyard, in whose daily care no chemicals are used.
The grapes from the Hito Corto plot have exceptional sugar parameters and color intensity, which are then manifested in the wine. Grape selection is double, first cluster by cluster and then berry by berry. Rento 2011 was aged in 50 barrels, mostly French oak from prestigious cooperages such as Taransaud, Berthomieu, Boutes and Canton, for 18 months. The barrels are only stacked one high and refilled monthly.
Fermentation: 10-14 days in stainless steel tanks (26 degrees)
Ageing: 18 months in barrel and 24 months in bottle
