The El Mesto project was founded in 1961 and became a benchmark for production and quality in Villamanrique, Ciudad Real province.

Already in its beginnings, two master millers from the original ecological mill, friends and connoisseurs of the trade since childhood, positioned the oil made in the first campaigns, at the highest level, being a reference in the area, its good work and cleanliness in the manufacturing processes, in search of a distinctive, quality.

New crops, facilities and extraction methods.

New investments are made, planting new crops, modernization of the original facilities and adaptation to new extraction methods, as well as the annexation of plots adjacent to the original structure and the subsequent sale of it to the current owners, who decided to create the only agro-industrial complex in Puertollano back in 2004, in the La Nava I industrial park, in Puertollano.

New R + D + I technologies:

The last impulse for the growth of this business comes in recent years, when the management of the company is modernized, managing to increase sales, developing new brands and products, continuously betting on the incorporation of new R + D + I technologies. and thus consolidating the brands Hojailén, Castillo de Salvatierra, Encomienda de Sacristanía, as benchmark brands in the sector, always maintaining their recognized original motto, quality, hence their seal.
