Marqués de Legarda Crianza 2019 is a red wine from the Rioja DOCa produced by Bodegas Legarda , a family-owned winery located in Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa. It represents a classic Rioja style, where fruit and American oak ageing define the wine’s character.

The wine is made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes grown on clay-limestone soils under Atlantic-influenced conditions, allowing for balanced ripening and freshness.

After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged for 12 months in American oak barrels , developing the traditional Rioja notes of spice, vanilla and toast. It is then further refined in bottle before release.

On the nose it shows aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum , along with hints of vanilla, coconut, spice and light toast. On the palate it is smooth, balanced and approachable , with polished tannins and a pleasant finish combining fruit and oak.

It pairs well with grilled meats, roasts, cured meats and semi-aged cheeses.
