At the foot of the Himalayas, near the legendary city of Shangri-La, at an altitude of 2,600 meters, in a unique landscape, the luxurious Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group produces one of the best and most expensive wines in China. With a Bordeaux-inspired blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Ao Yun 2016 is the fourth vintage of this exciting project. Its color is intense garnet. On the nose, it is deep and full of nuances, with notes of coffee, toast, red and black fruit, spices, and tobacco leaves. This aromatic complexity continues on the palate, which is perfectly delineated, voluminous, and with a good amount of tannins. The finish is spicy, suggestive, and very long. This is a red wine that can be aged for a long time, and only a few cases are sold in Europe.
