In 1996, Brasserie Lefebvre created Barbãr. It is a beer born from a secret recipe that combines carefully chosen malt, hops and honey in an exemplary way. It is brewed with Prisma and Alexis spring malts, Styrian and Hallertau hops and flavoured with coriander, bitter orange peel and honey
[BOTTLE 33 CL]

The Barbãr, of cloudy appearance and blond color, has a dense, creamy and very consistent foam. The aroma is unmistakably sweet honey and floral. As almost all of the sugar was transformed during the two fermentations into alcohol, the Barbãr does not taste sweet, but has a balanced bitterness, although, like its aroma, the aftertaste is honeyed.
Beveraging a Barbãr is a very pleasant experience
Drinking a Barbãr is a discovery in itself. And... if at the same time it strengthens the mood and fortifies the body of the drinker... so much the better
The Barbãr as an aperitif goes well with grilled fish, toast with foie gras and salads with tuna. As it is a very digestive beer, it goes well with "mató" (fresh cheese with honey)
