Acquired by the winery in 2016, these plots have demonstrated an impressive quality in their musts.
For the 2018 vintage, they decided to age the wine in barrels separately and reserve the wine in the cellar for almost 5 years after the harvest. This dedication and patience have allowed the wine to reach its maximum splendour before being offered to the world. According to Didier Belondrade, this wine is the result of a dream, of making it for the simple pleasure of making it, without any obligation. An exclusive production limited to just 1,994 bottles.
After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation is stopped to preserve the characteristic acidity. The wine has matured in used barrels for 18 months, followed by an additional 3 years of bottle ageing. This meticulous ageing process has resulted in a wine of unique and exceptional expression.
