Belondrade y Lurton - Verdejo - Organic - White Wine from Rueda

This white wine clearly reveals the remarkable aging capacity of the verdejo variety. It presents itself as a rich, elegant, and complex wine, bearing the signature of the acclaimed winemaker Didier Belondrade. The introduction of this label caused a real revolution in the Rueda white wine market. It introduced an innovative concept that added greater complexity to the verdejo through fermentation and aging in oak barrels. This particular white was made with spontaneous fermentation in French oak barrels, followed by aging for 9 months on lees and another 5 months in the bottle. The implementation of these traditional Burgundy techniques in the Rueda region was led by Didier Belondrade. In 1994, this visionary winemaker arrived in La Seca (Valladolid) with the determination to create a new style of verdejo varietal wines. Since then, Bodegas Belondrade has stood out as one of the leading firms in the Rueda Designation of Origin.
