Casar de Vide Treixadura 2019, is a Ribeiro with a measured blend of the most select varieties of this ancestral area.
The treixadura combines perfectly with the albariño, the godello and the torrontés, to arrive at this special wine and person
This wine in visualphasepresents a vivid pale straw yellow colour with greenish and steely reflections, clean and very bright.
On the nose it is frank, intense and very direct, with hints of freshly cut apple, green banana peel, apricot also green, and soft touches of white flower and carnation, with certain tropical memories of fresh pineapple. Subtle citrus background of grapefruit.
In mouthtaste it has excellent length and balance, with the fresh sensations of its Atlantic origin, with a lively acidity and rich aromatic sensations on the palate, where there are clear memories of fresh apple and peach, with a long, lively and balanced finish.
The year 2019has been excellent to start this project in Ribeiro. Although some rains at the end of the summer forced to be vigilant in this Atlantic climate, they really favored and gave freshness to the final phase of ripening, which concluded in a harvest during the second half of September, with optimal levels of maturity.
The vineyardswith which this first Casar de Vide Treixadura 2019 has been produced have been selected for their proximity to both banks of the Miño River, with different orientations so that the treixadura expressed different nuances: some of freshness in the shadier orientations and others of ripeness in the more exposed ones, always seeking complexity in connivance with other noble varieties of the area and always respecting this Atlantic character that is breathed in the landscape where Galician carballos, mimosas and pines abound, on a deep siliceous soil.
